Our most common questions & answers
Below is a collaboration of all common questions found across the site.
For a standard annual service this should usually take from 30 minutes to an hour, or up to 1.5 hours for certain more complex or older types of boilers that need a little more attention to keep them running smoothly.
We are often asked how long does a boiler service take when booking, and we appreciate that it may not always be convenient, but we do our very best to work around you, your family and your work schedules and will have the service done as quickly as possible.
If an issue is found with the boiler or central heating system during the service, then your heating engineer should discuss this with you and if they have time and you agree, additional repairs may be possible during the visit though these may incur extra costs above the cost of the standard boiler service. Of course these would be fully discussed and agreed with you before any remedial work commences.
We can guarantee 2 years on our work.

Within our working hours our response time is within 24 hours in most cases. Outside of working hours this may vary.
Our engineer will drain down your central heating system so that they can remove your old boiler.
They will the install the new boiler making any adjustments to the pipework that are needed. They will install a new magnetic system filter and thermostat if the old ones are not up to industry standards.
They will finally flush out your system and commission the boiler making sure it is working properly and safely. Lastly, they will explain how to use your new boiler and controls and answer any questions you may have.
A new boiler installation usually takes 1-3 days. If your new boiler is the same type as your old one, it will be a simpler and quicker boiler installation than if your replacement boiler was a different type – for example, switching from a conventional boiler to a combi boiler.
Moving your new boiler to a different place to the old one makes your replacement boiler installation slower than keeping the same type because it creates extra work like changing the pipework.
There are many factors that can affect the cost of a new boiler installation. The type of property, the size of property, the location of the boiler and much more can have an impact.
